JoAnn Horn 87, of Tyler passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Tyler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. David Snipes will be officiating. A visitation will be from 10:00 am- 11:00 am Tuesday, April 6, 2021 prior to the service at the funeral home. Facial masks and social distancing are encouraged.
JoAnn was born on August 28, 1933 in Aquilla to L. W. “Bully” and Mae Pearl Wills. She married Jonny Ray Horn on July 3, 1952 and they had 2 children Debbie and Johnny Ray Jr.
JoAnn started her career in accounting at Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P) then worked for Cullum Companies (Tom Thumb) until her retirement. She loved reading her Bible, worshiping her Lord, reading books, watching the Texas Rangers, NCIS and Gunsmoke. JoAnn also loved visiting with friends she was very active on facebook and keeping up with current events. She also loved the Gaither’s Specials. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren and especially her two youngest great-grandsons, Bronx and Sawyer that she was able to spend so much time with.
JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bembenek and husband, Steve of Tyler; grandchildren, Justin Turner and wife, Carrie, Katie Perry and husband, T.J., Heather Wilson and husband, Larry; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Bronx (Bronxie), Clayton, Linken, Britney and Kaylee.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church, 373 HCR 2202 S, Aquilla, Texas 76622
