Joe Symank

Joe D. Symank, 51, of Malone passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Blooming Grove with Rev. Grady Cashion officiating. Burial will follow at Walling Cemetery near Malone. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, May 26, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Joe was born October 15, 1962 in Hillsboro to Herman “Buster” Walter and Esther Frieda (Hodde) Symank. After graduating from Bynum High in 1981, he attended Hill College. Joe worked in farming and selling insurance after college. In October 1987, he married Shanna Farish. After marrying Shanna , Joe continued to work in farming, ranching and selling insurance and started his career in gas sales. His favorite pastimes were fishing, Aggie Football, cooking and boating. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Blooming Grove, and was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Esther Symank.

Survivors include his wife, Shanna of Malone, children; Aaron Symank of Corsicana, Addison Symank of Malone, brothers; Robert Symank and wife, Priscilla of Robinson, James Symank and wife, Patsy of Arlington, in-laws; Don and Beverly Richards of Kerens; Jackie and Gail Farish of Fairfield, aunts; Lena Radke of Hillsboro and Edna “Sissy” Taylor of Dallas, Uncles and Aunts; Larry and Rita Farish of Blooming Grove, Larry and Gail Christie of Kerens, numerous nieces and nephews.
