John Kirkpatrick

John Kirkpatrick, 82, of Itasca died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Itasca Nursing Home. John was born on January 28, 1925 in Hillsboro, Texas the son of Travis Monroe and Nettie Abney Kirkpatrick. He was a native of Hillsboro. John graduated from Texas A&M and served in the U. S. Army. He went on to teach economics in the Ivy League schools and traveled abroad as an international financial consultant. In 2002, John retired and came home to Hillsboro. He will be laid to rest at the feet of his parents who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by a brother, Travis Kirkpatrick. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Xandegar and husband, David of Lindenhurst, IL and Elizabeth Jennette and husband, William of Tampa, FL; son, John Kirkpatrick of Vernon Hill, IL; five grandchildren, Derek, Deana, John, Jessica, and Tyler; and loving sister, Susan Hinson, and husband, Ed, of Graham, TX.
