John Shull

John L. Shull, 93, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. His family will hold a memorial service in his honor at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Robyn Young officiating.

John was born September 17, 1921 in Elmer, New Jersey to John E. And Gertrude (Richardson) Shull. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. On July 15, 2009, he married Ruthmary Cogswell in Maryland. He was a self-employed home builder for many years. John enjoyed boating and loved going out in his Airstream motorhome. He was the past International President of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International. Brother John L. Shull was a member of the Grand Masonic Lodge for the State of New Jersey and the Woodstown Lodge #138, F. & A.M. He was honored with a distinguished service on April 16, 2009 for his 55th Anniversary. He was also a 32nd degree Scotish Rite Mason and attended First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death was his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Ruthmary Shull of Hillsboro; brother-in-law, John A. Cogswell of Arlington Heights, Illinois; close friends, Marv and Ruthie Williams of Woodstown, New Jersey and Jack and B. J. Glouner of Naples, Florida; and past International Presidents of WBCCI.
