John Hathaway Smart

John (Quickdraw) Smart, age 72 passed away at his residence in Clifton, Texas on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on  Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

John was born December 24, 1949, in Durango, Colorado to his parents Johnny Lee and Velma Smart. John later on spent 6 years in the Navy serving and fighting for his country. John was a God fearing man and loved the Lord. He enjoyed carving, fishing, hunting, camping and best of all, he enjoyed white water rafting with his family. He also loved horses and dogs. Johns family and friends gave him the name (Quickdraw) John because he loved shooting and was a quickdraw. He was loved very much and will be missed by his family and friends

Preceding him in death are his parents, Johnny Lee and Velma Smart and his brother, Boyd.

John(Quickdraw) is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Beverly Smart; his two sons, Justin Smart and Tanner Abbott; three sisters, Pam, Cathy; and Earlene, and 2 brothers, Doug and Eric.
