John Young

John was the son of Carlyle George and Mary Frances Patterson Young. He graduated from Hillsboro High School. John served as a police officer in several Central Texas communities, including Hillsboro. Later he owned and operated Basic Security in DeSoto for 7 years. Previously he was married to Linda Conner. On May 16, 2003 he married Caroline Burton and they had lived in the Tyler area for the past three years. John enjoyed touring on his motorcycle every chance he had. He was of the Methodist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents, and brother, Robert Young on November 10, 2005. Survivors include: wife, Caroline Young of Franston, son, Jason Young and wife Josie of Lipan, 2 grandchildren, Jace Young and Joslin Young, step-grandson, Thomas Killian and cousins, Pat Pruitt and wife Kathy of New Mexico
