Johnile "John" Murphy, Jr

Johnile “John” Edward Murphy, Jr., 48, of Waco, passed away on July 25, 2015 in a tragic motorcycle accident. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Greg Johnson officiating.

John was born on July 31, 1966, in Whitney. On August 2, 2012, he married the “true” love of his life, Sarah Curlee Murphy . He wore many hats and had many titles throughout his life, but none more important than Uncle Tall Dude, Guncle, John-John and Cowboy.

He enjoyed the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family and friends, and was an avid reader.

Preceding him in death was his infant daughter, Calli Eileen Murphy; grandparents, Earl and Mary Murphy; his mother, Barta Krentz; grandmother, Dorothy Bruno; and sister, Lucille Otero.

John is survived by his wife, Sarah; parents, John and Clara Murphy; adopted family, Darin and Amanda Root and their children, Austin, Cameron, Paige and Kiptyn; sisters, Seana Murphy, Shari Sims, Mistelle Hargrove, Ronnie Sparks, Eva Hale, and Melissa Wallace-Norville; brothers, Bill Murphy and Arthur Murphy; and many beloved nieces, nephews, countless cousins and numerous friends.
