Johnnie Diggs

Johnnie Carrol ?Big John? Diggs, 57, of Hillsboro died Monday, June 13, 2005, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Johnnie was born on March 24, 1948 in Vaughan, Texas the son of A. C. ?Pete? and Eunice Lee Diggs. On December 24, 1969 he married Dorothy Grones in Hillsboro. For 22 years he worked for Rockett Water Supply in Red Oak. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and gardening. He especially enjoyed his grandkids. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Milford. Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Robert Diggs; and a sister, Maynell Sealy. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Diggs of Hillsboro; four children, Johnnie Diggs and wife, Tina, of Rankin, Evelyn Gouge and husband, Tom, of Waxahachie, Richard Diggs and wife, Vicki, of Cleburne, and Mary Ann Luckie and husband, Terry, of Waxahachie; a step-daughter, Louise Taylor of Waxahachie; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
