Johnnie Harris, 85, of Clifton passed away February 9, 2006 at the Goodall - Witcher Hospital in Clifton. Johnnie was the son of C. W. and Mary Belle Niles Harris. He lived in Hillsboro as a small child and attended school at Grubb Hill in Hill County. As a young man he worked in the CCC. During World War II he served in the U. S. Army. After the service, he lived in Waco until moving to Dallas in 1965 before returning to Waco after 5 years. Johnnie enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He worked as a auto mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Kenneth Roy Harris and sister, Areda Bonds. Survivors include his son, David Harris and wife, Rita of China Spring; brother, J. R. Harris of Waco; sister, Oree Dunn and husband, William of Fort Worth; 3 grandchildren, David Harris, Jr., Tonya Latham, and Christina Brown.
