Johnny Faglie, 68, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Beggs and Rev. Tommy Seals officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Johnny was born September 30, 1945 to Ray and Mattie (Wade) Faglie in Hill County near Vaughan. He was raised and went to school in Aquilla. On August 7, 1968, he married Jan Poe. He worked in road construction most of his life and was owner of Faglie Construction and Paving. He was known for his work ethic, hard work, and honesty. Johnny was a faithful husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him. The joy of his life was his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; twin sister, Billie Hunter in January 2013; niece, Shannon Ridlehuber; nephew, Ricky Burgamy; great-nephew, Chandler Fossett; and mother-in-law, Velma Poe.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Jan Faglie of Hillsboro; sons, Randy Faglie of Bynum, Scott Faglie and Austin Faglie and fiancé, Suzanne Matus, all of Hillsboro; daughters, Sara Boen and husband, Brandon, of Fort Worth, and Katie Cole and husband, Cody, of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Seth Faglie, Granger Boen, Carder Faglie, Gunner Garon, Collins Cole, and Hudson Faglie; aunt, Shirley Willis of Broken Bow, OK; brothers, C. W. Faglie and wife, Connie, of Saginaw, Bobby Joe Faglie and wife, Betty, of Mart, and Jack Faglie of Hallsburg; sisters, Peg Stewart and husband, Bill, of Whitney, Sue Faglie of San Antonio, and Janie Hartley and husband, Mike, of Bailey; very special cousin, Al Faglie and wife, Shirley, of Midland; father-in-law, James Poe of Hillsboro; brothers-in-law, Jim Poe of Waxahachie and Danny Poe of Hillsboro; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Senior Celebration of Central Baptist Church, P. O. Box 263, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
