Johnny Riley, 62, of Clifton died Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, at New Woodbury Cemetery in Woodbury, Texas with Coach Grant Teaff officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Johnny was born on May 15, 1948 in Hillsboro the son of John Dexter and Margaret A. (McElroy) Riley. In 1966 he graduated from Whitney High School. On September 9, 2005 he married Janet Lafferty. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting, and gardening. He was a loving dedicated father and grandfather and member of the Woodbury Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his father and one daughter, Wendy Riley.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Riley of Clifton; mother, Margaret A. Moore of Hillsboro; six children, John Riley of Clifton, Jeremy Riley of Palestine, Leigh Ann Grote of Mart, Jamie Riley of Mart, Justin Riley of Mart, and Lindsay Riley of Mart; two step children, Linsey Schwettmann and husband, Justin of Waco and Patrick Suitt of Waco; one brother, Mike Riley of Whitney; one sister, Peggy Rosemond of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, Trevor Riley, Jayden Riley, Tyler Spence, Shelby Spence, Parker Spence, Garrett Grote, and Dyllon Wood.
