Johnny Thomas

Johnny W. Thomas, 56, of Irving died in an automobile accident on June 3, 2006. Johnny was born on April 12, 1950 in Clifton to Clarence Elmoe and Joann B. Hill Thomas. He grew up in Irving and graduated from MacArthur High School in 1968, after graduation he attended Dallas Baptist College in Dallas, and attended Tarrant County Jr. College in Ft. Worth. He spent 40 years with Mr. Weiss, the instructor, in Irving, Texas where he was a master in Karate, Ju-Jitsu and Swords and held many black belts. He was a member of the Budokai of Dallas, North Texas Mustang Club, Shelby Cobra Association of Texas and SVT Owners Association. He was a private investigator for Monarch Investigations and a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church of Irving. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Rusty Ryan Hicks. Survivors include his parents, Elmoe and Joann Thomas of Whitney; two children, Rachel Y. Hicks and Donnie Thomas both of Waxahachie; two brothers: Richard Thomas of Euless and Kenneth Thomas of Irving; girl friend; Phyllis Crouch of Arlington, two granddaughters, Kristen Kaye Hicks and Marlee Ann Hicks and many aunts, uncles and friends.
