Joseph Conely

Joseph Doyle Conely, 66, of Whitney passed away on June 23, 2009 in Whitney. Joseph was the son of the late Doyle Kenneth and Eva Lenora Mounts Conely. He served in the United States Air Force for 10 years as a captain and was stationed at many places all over the world. He married Julia Norman. He graduated from Texas A & M University and was a proud Aggie. An avid art collector and reader he also had worked with meals on wheels in Wylie and had served on the Library board. He was a software engineer retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Whitney Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Julia of Whitney; children, Lynnette Abbey and husband Gregory of Allen, Steven Conely of Dallas; six grandchildren, Matthew Mayes, Payton, Allison and Preston Abbey, Steven and Jack Conely; many other family members and friends.
