Joshua Soule

Joshua Elbert Soule, 39, of Itasca passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. David Bristow of New Life Baptist Church in Covington officiating. Burial will follow at Blanton Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the funeral home.

Born April 9, 1977 in Fort Worth, Josh was the son of James and Barbara (Daniel) Soule. He grew up in Osceola and attended Covington and Itasca schools. He earned an Associates degree from Lincoln Tech in 1998. On October 12, 1996, Josh was united in marriage to Jodi Horrell. He had worked as a mechanic for Union Pacific Railroad for the past 3 ½ years. In his spare time, Josh enjoyed fishing and “getting his boat in the water.”

Josh was preceded in death by his father, James Soule. He is survived by his wife, Jodi Soule of Itasca; his mother, Barbara Soule of Itasca; children, Katelyn, Whittney, and JoLyn Soule, all of Itasca; brothers, Judd Soule and wife, Karie, of Hillsboro, Jeremy Soule and wife, Amy, of Arkansas, Jacob Soule of Whitney, Justin Soule and wife, Kama, of Hillsboro, Jared Soule and Joseph Soule, both of Cleburne, and Jules Soule of Itasca; sister, Joey Hays and husband, Darryl, of Granbury.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
