Joyce Gossett

Joyce Gossett, 63, of Whitney died Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in Whitney. Joyce was born November 1, 1944 in Hillsboro, Texas the daughter of Avery B. and Rita Louise Hilton Hight. She grew up in Oak Cliff. For a few years she lived in California before moving back to Hillsboro to care for her mother. She had been with her companion, Dennis R. Huse, since April of 1999 and they lived in Whitney since that time. She was a certified nurses aide and of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her companion, Dennis R. Huse of Whitney; daughter, Shannon Lynn Lampp of Hillsboro; brother, Nathan B. Hight and wife, LeRae, of Forestburg, TX; granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Clevelend of Kerrville; four great-grandchildren; two nieces, Kari Ray Hight and Sheri Kay Hight; and one nephew, Lance B. Hight.
