Joyce Laverne (Autrey) Owens

Joyce Laverne "Autrey" Owens age 82 of Clifton went home to be with the Lord July 24, 2024, surrounded by her children. Graveside services under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Whitney will be held at 10 am Saturday July 27, 2024, at Smith Bend Coon Creek Cemetery. Pastor Jay Morris officiating.

Joyce was born on February 25, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas to Alvin and Loetta Autrey. She grew up in Cleburne, Texas. She was united in marriage to Robert Edwin "Bobby" Owens on November 19, 1959, in Cleburne.

Joyce was a faithful wife and Mother. She devoted her life to serving the Lord and teaching children's Sunday School for over 50 years.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Loetta Autrey; and granddaughter, Amanda Owens and Husband Robert Owens.

Survivors include her children, Kevin R Owens and wife Shuzi of Lindale. Kimberly K Owens Green of Clifton, and Robert E Owens Jr and wife Carlene of Gholson; sisters, Loretta Freeland of Cleburne, Tx and Linda Nehren of Wichita Falls, Tx; and nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
