Juan Monroy Fuentes

Juan Monroy Fuentes, 68, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Hillsboro, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, with  Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery.

Juan was born August 2, 1950  in Mexico to Florencio and Petra (Monray) Fuentes. Juan was united in marriage on January 2, 1971, to Juanita (Trejo) Fuentes. He worked as a ranch hand for most of his working days. and loved doing carpentry in his pass time. Juan was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Son, Rafael Fuentes; infant son, Fermin Fuentes; and sister, Ancelma Fuentes.

Juan was survived by his wife of 48 years, Juanita Fuentes of Hillsboro; children, Armando Fuentes and wife Yolanda of Hillsboro, Anacelia Fuentes and husband Amador of Hillsboro, and Claribel Fuentes and husband Miguel of Hillsboro; sister, Maria Fuentes of Mexico; grandchildren, Alvaro Fuentes, Karen Fuentes, Cristian Fuentes, Rafael Castaneda, Roxanna Castaneda, Valeria Garcia, Diego Garcia, Elisa Garcia and Adrian Fuentes; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
