Judith Ann “Ju Ju” Collins, 14, of Whitney passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012, near Whitney. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Pastor Sean Boiles. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the funeral home.
Judith was born March 2, 1998 in Waco to Terri Leigh (Reich) Millerd and Edwin Odell Collins. She had attended Whitney Middle School and would have been a freshman this school year. While in middle school, she ran track and played basketball.
An avid singer, Judith loved to sing Amazing Grace and was a huge Justin Bieber fan. Her life’s ambition was to become a professional singer.
Her favorite pass times were shopping, going to the movies, going out to eat, and spending time with her friends.
Preceding her in death were her great-grandparents, Grace and D. O. Hollingsworth, Edwin and Agnes Terry, and Lee and Louise Reich; great-aunt, Judith Ann Christopherson; and great-uncle, Robert Reich.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Terri and Todd Millerd of Waco; father, Edwin Odell Collins of Whitney; two brothers, Alex Collins of Whitney and Jason Millerd of Denton; three sisters, Logan “Zoe” Collins of Whitney, Ashley Millerd of Waco, and Samantha Millerd of Huntsville; paternal grandparents, Edwin L. and Gracie D. Collins of Whitney; maternal grandparents, Mary Jo Reich of Waco and Neil W. Reich of Riesel; aunts and uncles, Gina and Homer Boiles of Whitney, Lisa G. and Robert Bailey of Elkhart, IN, Holly Collins of Whitney, Douglas Collins of Whitney, and Neil Reich, Jr. of Waco; and 18 cousins.
