Biography

Judith Arlene Garcia, 57, of Milford passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016, in Mexico. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro, followed by visitation until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, at the funeral home with Father Isaac Orozco officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Judith was born November 6, 1958 in Snyder to Daniel and Julia (Villarreal) Sanchez. On October 19, 1985, she was united in marriage to Jose Garcia in Illinois. A very caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Judith especially loved being a grandmother to her grandchildren. She enjoyed good food, traveling, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Adriana Sanchez; and grandson, Aaron Oscar Lopez.

Survivors include her husband, Jose Garcia of Milford; four children, Angelina Staehle and husband, Mike, of Gurnee, IL, Crystal Avila and husband, Eduardo, of Hillsboro, Josefina Rodriguez and husband, Gilberto, of Hillsboro, and Zenia Lopez and husband, Oscar, of Duncanville; four brothers, Arthur Sanchez and wife, Maria, of Carrollton, Jerry Sanchez and wife, Rachel, of Mundelein, IL, Frank Salas and wife, Mary Ann of Arlington Heights, IL, and Norman Sanchez and wife, Rosa, of Carpentersville, IL; sister, Angie Sanchez of Arlington Heights, IL; and six grandchildren, Marlen, Yasmin, Abigail, Oscar, Angel, and Alexander.
