Biography

Judy Ann Strength, 64, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, in Hillsboro. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.

Judy was born July 4, 1949 in Waco. She was a nurse aide in the health care field. Preceding her in death were her father, Luther Strength of Tyler and a son, Luke Powell of Tyler.

Survivors include her mother, Pat Brown; daughter, Kim Powell-Stokes; brother, Dr. Steve Strength; aunt, Sammie Smith; step-father, Jim Treatch; step-mother, Lee Strength; step-sisters, Jennette Hart, Evelyn Neely, Charlotte Brady, Betty Edwards; four grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Johns, Jr., Jordan Powell, Walter Jeffrey Stokes, and Micah Stokes; great-grandchild, Kayla Johns; and cousins, Charlene Colson, Terry Smith, Clint Foreman, and Lisa Church.

Judy had a sweet affection for pets, and for this reason the family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor at the Humane Society of Central Texas located in Waco.
