Juette Mackey passed away on March 3, 2006 at Town Hall Estats in Hillsboro. She was the daughter of Robert Benton and Jennie V. Weaver Gray. Juette had lived in Hill County all of her life and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. On July 11, 1937, she married Eugene Mackey and he preceded her in death August 15, 1979. She was a school teacher and taught school in both Covington and Whitney. Juette was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro; life long member of Les Causeuses Club; long time member of TLAS Sunday School Class; Cochabama Study Group and the United Methodist Women. Also preceding her in death were her son, Donald Mackey on September 5, 1986 and brother, Otis H. Gray on Jan 24, 1970. Survivors inlcude her son, Bobby Mackey and wife, Carol of Dallas; daughter-in-law, Cathy Mackey of Hillsboro; nephew, Lynn Gray and wife, Carolyn of Hillsboro; grandchildren: Tracy Mann and husband, Mike, Jim Mackey and wife, Jody, Jay Mackey and wife, Kara, Mark Mackey, Kevin Mackey; great-grandchildren: Kendra Jordan, Kelby Mann, Jake Pieper, Madeline Mackey, Meredith Mackey; great- great-grandchildren: Matthew Jordan, Jared Jordan and special friend, Sandra Seals.
