Julia V (Wilson) Brown

Julia V. Brown went to be with the Lord early Monday morning on November 29, 2021 at her home in Hillsboro.
Julia was born December 19, 1944 in Clifton, Texas to Willie Wilson and Ruby Mae (Perryman) Wilson.  She graduated from Bynum in 1963 and then attended Hill College and Abilene Christian University graduating with a Bachelor of Art-Elementary Education degree in 1966.   Her 40 year teaching career was spent at Ft. Worth, Bynum and Hillsboro ISD, where she retired.  She married the love of her life William Larry Brown on July 14, 1967 and were happily married for 54 years.  They lived in Hillsboro raising their two children William Chad Brown and Lesleigh Julie Suzanne Smith.  She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a faithful member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and loved her church family.
Preceding her in death were her parents Willie and Ruby Wilson, mother and father-in-law William and Loree Brown, sisters in law Deana and Jo Wilson and brother-in-law Ray Loveless.
Julia is survived by her husband William Larry Brown; children William Chad Brown, Lesleigh Smith and husband Thomas; grandchildren Michelle Martinez and husband Esteban, Lindsey Lockheart, Donovan Brown, Kaitlynn Brown, Gavin Smith and Liam Smith; brothers Willie Jo Wilson and Harrell Wilson; sister Joyce Tinsley and husband Ken; in-laws Ronald and Pam Brown, Barbara Loveless; several nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend Janelle Gibson.
The family would like to thank the Gentle Transition Hospice staff for their love and care.
