Julia Ann (Hooks) Siddons

Julia Ann (Hooks) Siddons was born August 22, 1931, in Itasca, Texas, to Will Iredell Hooks and Janie (Files) Hooks. She passed away on February 19, 2022, peacefully at her home at the age of ninety. Visitation will take place at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Chapel from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, February 25, 2022. Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022, 1:00 PM, at the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, Texas, followed by a private burial at Ridge Park Cemetery.

After graduating Itasca High School, she attended Texas Christian University. She was united in marriage to William W. (Bill) Siddons, Jr., on July 19, 1963. After raising four children she began selling real estate with Will Bond in 1979. After becoming a Broker, she opened her own firm Julie Siddons Realtors. She partnered with her daughter-in-law, Jamie Siddons, in 1996, and built one of the most successful real estate brands in central Texas. Julie was active in Real Estate for 41 years until her retirement in 2020.

Julie loved cars and driving fast. Her beauty, sense of humor, and ability to say what she thought made her one of a kind. She believed you had to give to receive and was known for supporting every youth and nonprofit organization that asked. Her dedication to family, community, and clients was extraordinary. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William (Bill) Siddons, Jr., her brothers Will I Hooks, Jr., and Pat Earl Hooks. She is survived by her sister Amelia Hooks Bullock, and husband Bill Krumpack of Austin; sons Carl Sturmer and wife Ruby of Stephenville, Bill Siddons III, and wife Jamie of Hillsboro, Pat Siddons, and partner Danny Villarreal of Houston, and one daughter Tracy Sturmer Yocham of Hillsboro; grandchildren Gus Sturmer, Shelby Siddons-Minyard, and husband Taylor Minyard.

The family would like to thank Dr. Seely and team at Community Hospice of Texas, Dr. Teague, and Tamijo, Lorena, and Kymberly for providing compassionate care, comfort, and assistance.
