June Gordon Blasor, 74, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, November 3, 2015, at Providence Hospital in Waco. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Rev. Amy Anderson of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro officiating. June will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
She was the second of five children born to Goyie T. V. Gordon and Neta (Sheffield) Gordon on December 28, 1940 in the Union Bluff Community outside of Hillsboro. She grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1959. After high school, June worked for several businesses over the years and traveled all over the United States before getting her B.B.A. from Tarleton State University in 1976. June had been in the real estate business for 40 years. She owned and operated Century 21 Centroplex in Waco for many years. After relocating to Arlington in 1989, she worked for Ebby Halliday Realtors in the DFW area. Later, she decided to move back to her Hillsboro farm, where she practiced real estate on a part-time basis. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved dog, Buttons.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, and two daughters.
Survivors include special friends, Chuck and Kendell Vaught and Gene and Liz Ficker, all of Waco; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
