June Crumpton, 83, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, at the funeral home.
June was born June 18, 1929 in Milford to the late Lon Carl and Willie Lee (Drake) McClure. She was a homemaker who was a great cook and took care of her family. A strong willed lady, June was not afraid to give her opinion. She was a warm, loving, and caring person, who had a big heart and wonderful sense of humor. Talking to people and being on Facebook is what she enjoyed doing.
June was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hillsboro, where she had been a member since 1989.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Wilmoth Crumpton; granddaughter, Kelly Crumpton; five sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include her children, David Crumpton and wife, Margreat, of Arlington, Carla Wylie and husband, Tommy, of Burleson, and Lisa Olson of Hewitt; companion of 20 years, Ridley Dickinson of Hillsboro; sister, Jo Hampton of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Jennifer Baker, Jeff Cordell, Jaime Gavlik, Shanna Cordell, and Matthew Crumpton; and nine great-grandchildren, Cailin, Hailey, Brianna, Chancellor, Jacob, Jaclyn, Eva, Maddie, and Lainey.
