June Haver, 84, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro with Rev. Al Crane and Rev. Derrell Surface officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
June was born August 17, 1931 in Whitney, Texas to Herman and Beatrice (Duke) Williams. On March 8, 1947, she married Riley James “Mack” Cochran. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1980. She later married David C. Haver August 4, 1990 in Hillsboro. For 20 years, she worked at the Hill County Courthouse as a deputy clerk in the county clerk’s office, retiring in 2000.
June was a very faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro, where she served as Sunday school teacher for 30 years. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all of her heart. In 2003, she was honored as Sunday school teacher of the year with the Assembly of God Church.
She was an avid reader and also enjoyed sewing.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Haver of Hillsboro; son, Mackiel Don Cochran of Hillsboro; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
