Juno Rowe

Juno Scrutchfield Rowe, 96, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Juno was born October 30, 1910 in Clifton, Texas the daughter of George Erath and Iva Nora Scrutchfield. On September 21, 1935 she married Preston Barry Pete Rowe.The valedictorian of her high school class in Valley Mills, TX, and a graduate of Tarleton State College in Stephenville, TX, she taught school before her marriage to Preston Rowe. Later, together they were managers of the Hillsboro County Club for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Earl Morris Rowe; her sister, Georgia Peacock; and her brother, Auburn McFadden. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Rowe of Hillsboro; daughter-in-law, Shirley Rowe of Van; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Kesh and Stephanie Rowe and children, Conner and Rylee, of Tomball; Devin and Diane Rowe and daughter, Katie, of Van; and Gencie and Timmie Burkett and sons, Jaylon and Talon of Van; three sisters-in-law, Marie Carmichael and Autria Riddle both of Hillsboro and Adline Dennis of Clifton; and many nieces and nephews.
