Katherine Ralston

Katherine McCullough Ralston, 92, of Waxahachie died Monday, December 15, 2008, at Brook Dale Sterling House in Waxahachie. Katherine was born May 22, 1916 in Hill County, Texas, where she was raised, the daughter of George L. and Maudie May Sinclair McCullough. She was the last of nine children. She attended McMurray and Mayfield Schools. On August 8, 1975 she married Bill Ralston and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2005. She worked as Activity Director for nursing homes in both Hillsboro and Waxahachie. She was a member of Mayfield Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Diane Green; a great-grandson; four brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include her son, W. L. Dub Green and wife, Sherrie, of Waxahachie; five grandchildren, Charles Green and fiancé, Cathy Hart, Laurie Westlake and husband, Steve, Scott Green and wife, Deborah, Teresa Fountain and husband, Steve, and Bryan Romer; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
