Katherine Walker

Katherine Walker, 74, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Larry Zabcik officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the funeral home.

Katherine was born April 10, 1939 in Hillsboro to William Thornton and Eula Mae (Major) Chastain. On September 13, 1955, she married Bobby Walker and became a homemaker. Katherine enjoyed her family being together and especially loved taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Howard Thornton Chastain and Gerald Ray Chastain; and one sister, Patsy Joe Goodman.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Walker of Hillsboro; four children, Bobby Lynn Walker and wife, Pat, of Hillsboro, Billy Walker of Peoria, Susan Miller and husband, Paul, of Abbott, and Lisa Sewall and husband, Richard, of Hillsboro; brother, Mike Chastain and wife, Rusdee, of Roseburg, OR; ten grandchildren, James Walker and wife, Heather, of Whitney, Brandy Farquhar and husband, Monte, of Carrollton, Matt Walker of Hewitt, Andrea Nors and husband, Aaron, of Abbott, Ashley Landrum and husband, James, of Austin, Ben Walker and wife, Sara, of West, Scott Sewall and wife, Anna, of Whitney, Megan Walker of Peoria, Mark Miller, of Abbott, and Tate Walker and wife, Kayla, of Burleson; and six great-grandchildren, Reo Bressman of Whitney, Jillian and Allie Farquhar, both of Carrollton, Kylee and Dillan Nors, both of Abbott, and Blaine Walker of West.
