Katherine (Herron) Weeks

Katherine Weeks, age 86, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020. A private family service will be held. Mrs. Weeks will lie in state from 9AM to 5PM Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Katherine was born December 8, 1933, in Noodle, Texas, to Vernon Denver (Dick) and Olive (Gregory) Herron. She grew up in Noodle and graduated from Noodle High School. She was united in marriage to Daniel Weeks on April 29, 1952, and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2019. Katherine was a housewife for many years. She was a jeweler for various jewelry stores. During her life she and her husband lived in many different places around the world, while her husband worked for Westinghouse. Katherine enjoyed sewing and working on crossword puzzles.

Also, preceding Katherine in death were her parents.

She is survived by her children, Dana Taylor, of Biloxi, Mississippi, David Weeks and wife Julie, of Hillsboro, Texas, and Carl Weeks and wife Isela, of Biloxi, Mississippi; sisters, Delores Gage, of Mesquite, Texas, and Nelda Gilbert, of Lubbock, Texas; grandson, Daniel Weeks, of Biloxi, Mississippi; granddaughters, Gina Martin and husband Frank, of Farmington, New Mexico, and Cary Taylor, of Tampa, Florida; and great-grandson; Lucais Martin, of Farmington, New Mexico.
