Kathryn Boyd

It is with infinite sorrow, but faithful joy that we announce the passing of our mother, Kathryn "Kathy" Elizabeth Myers Boyd. Mom met her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 6:20 P.M. at Cedar Hollow Rehabilitation Center. She was blessed to have had amazing care at Cedar Hollow by numerous nurses and CNAs but especially by nurse, Nikki Swearingen, whom we are thankful to for her love for Mom and the many times she curled her hair, painted her nails, and just loved on her.

Kathy was born on Saturday. September 21, 1929, to Rebecca and Charlie Myers. Her siblings were RC, Leon, Nola and Louise. She is survived by her four children and their families. Glenn and Chrys Boyd, DeAnn and Scott Polk, Larry and Corianne Boyd, and Lori and Carl Akins. Her grandchildren are Reagan and Shara Boyd, Cory and Monica Boyd, Andy and Rosario Boyd, Tracie and Chris Sizemore, Jeffrey Polk, Will Boyd, Greg and Brianne Boyd, Ricky Boyd, Annie Boyd, Skylar and Caleb Akins. Great-grandchildren, Sharanya, Harper, Ryah, and Lainey Boyd, Eva and Bruce Boyd, Brendan and Luna Boyd, Braeden and Cullen Sizemore, Zachary and Sydney Polk and many nieces and nephews. She was ninety-five years old.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:00 o'clock in Peoria, Texas at the Peoria Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 10:00 o'clock at Western Heights Church of Christ. While she will be missed terribly, her family is secure in the knowledge that she will be waiting for them in the arms of the Lord, rejoicing with our dad, destined to stroll through the streets of heaven.
