Kathy Corrine (Maynard) Snelgrove

Kathy Corrine (Maynard) Snelgrove, age 72 of Lakeside Village, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2023 at John Peter Smith Hospital from an auto accident, which occurred on July 3, 2023. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney, Texas. Burial to follow at Kimball Bend Cemetery.

Kathy was born in Lubbock, Texas to her loving parents, Charles Arthur Maynard Jr. and Ruth Corrine Maynard on June 17, 1951. Kathy was a generous and loving person, spreading love and kindness wherever it was needed. She never met a stranger, every person in the world was just a friend she hadn't met yet. Kathy always saw the good in other people even if others could not. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and best friend, who was loved and will truly be missed.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Arthur Maynard Jr. and Ruth Corrine Maynard; sister, Sybil Louise Maynard; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Edwin Lee Snelgrove; siblings, Chuck Collier Maynard and Sherry L. Waller and husband Don Waller; son, Gary Wayne Whitman and wife Jeannine Elaine Whitman; stepchildren, Amy Eleache Snelgrove and Brayden Edwin Snelgrove; grandsons, Colton Hugh Whitman, Cody Allen O'Briant, and Adam Thomas Helmke; many loved ones, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many loving friends.
