Kazuko T. Hendricks, 86, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her residence. Graveside services will be at 9:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2013 at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Mr. Warren Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Kazuko was born February 18, 1927 in Kobe, Japan to Haruhisa and Suma Totori. She married Gaylon Richard Hendricks, January 17, 1951, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2010. Also preceding her in death, were her parents.
She loved sewing and made most of her own clothes and decorated her home, including making her curtains and linens. She was a published Japanese Haiku poet and also an award winning artist in water and oil painting. Kazuko was certified in the Japanese art of flower arranging, Ikebana. A devoted homemaker, Kazuko was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael Hendricks and wife, Betty, of Hillsboro and Jess Hendricks and wife, Connie, of Houston, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
