Kenneth was the son of Kenneth Floyd, Sr. and Joyce Mayo Bowers. He lived in Hillsboro all his life and attended Hillsboro Schools. He worked for Knox Fuel Stop and Wal-mart for a few years before working for Hillsboro Elementary School for the last 10 years. Kenneth found great comfort walking and caring for his dog, Rocket. He also loved helping his family and elderly friends. His nieces and nephews were like his own children. Kenneth was a Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his father, uncle Raymond O. Bowers, grandparents - Raymond and Noma Bowers, and a nephew Tommy Scott Smith. Survivors include his mother, Joyce Bowers of Hillsboro; three sisters - Dennette Hamilton and husband, Randy of Itasca, Donna Handy and husband, David of Hillsboro, Gwen Ward and husband, Bailey of Hillsboro; one brother - Daniel Bowers and wife, Jennifer of Itasca nieces and nephews - Ashlee Handy, Amanda Handy, John Hamilton, Jr., Tyler Smith and fiancé Kimberly Price, Brittany Smith, Daniel Bowers, Jr., and Kaitlyn Bowers; aunt - Eleanor Bowers of El Paso; and many cousins, scores of friends, and his dog, Rocket.
