Kenneth Bugg

Kenneth Dale Bugg, 61, of Whitney, passed away on February 23, 2017 in Waco. The family will hold a memorial graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Kenneth was born on February 2, 1956, in Dallas, to Billy and Tahle (Loggins) Bugg. He grew up in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1974 before attending Mountain View Community College, majoring in drama and English. On August 11, 1982, he married Brenda Baker.

He had been a resident of Whitney since 1983 and worked at Town Square Furniture as a carpenter for 15 years before retiring in 2014.

An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed reading, especially anything “Shakespeare”. As an avid drummer, he loved classic rock and the band “Yes”. He enjoyed going to, watching and participating in the plays with the Lake Whitney Arts.

Preceding him in death were his father, Billy Ray Bugg, Sr., on January 13, 2017 and his wife, Brenda Bugg, on December 12, 2001.

Survivors include his mother, Tahle Bugg of Lancaster; children, Sarah Bugg of Whitney, Mandy Ivy and spouse Jeremy Harris of Hillsboro, and John Bugg of Augustus, Kansas; grandchildren, Stanley Means and Noah Means of Whitney, Maximus Harris and Ares Harris of Hillsboro, and Lily Bugg of Augustus, Kansas; and brothers, Billy Ray Bugg, Jr. and wife, Iris of Lancaster and Danny Bugg and wife, Sreytouch of Canton.

Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice Place, 300 West State Hwy 6, Waco, TX 76712.
