Kenneth Parish
Kenneth A. Parish 82, of Whitney passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 in Alvarado. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at White Bluff Chapel, with Rev. Terry Cosby officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. Interment with Military Honors will br held at 11:00 am Thursday December 31, 2015 at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
Kenneth was born on August 20, 1933, in Oklahoma City, to the late Felix Homer and Jonnie Mae (Mills) Parish. On October 4, 1958 Kenneth married Mary Boller in Pikesville, Maryland.
During the first years of their marriage they lived in 17 different states where he installed radar sites. He worked 28 years for American Airlines as an Avionics Engineer retiring in 1996. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on June 6, 1961. Moving to Whitney in December of 2005 Kenneth was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards and games. He also enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making and other wood projects. He was a past member of the Lions Club and member of White Bluff Chapel.
Also preceding him in death was his brother Homer Parish Jr.
Survivors include his wife Mary Parish of Whitney, Texas; children, Tari Parish of Tucson, Arizona and Renee Parish of Euless, Texas; brother, Chuck Parish of Bakersfield, California; grandchildren, Kelsey Chippeaux of Denton, Texas, Caleb Chippeaux of Euless, Texas and niece Pam Stanton of Salt Lake City, Utah.
