Kenneth Reid

Kenneth Reid, 81, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. John Milburn and Mr. Bob McGregor officiating. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born September 8, 1937, in Peoria to Robert and Mary Lee (Atchison) Reid. He was a 1956 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1960 graduate of Abilene Christian University. Upon his return to Hill County, Kenneth joined the Army National Guard, serving with the Whitney Medical Unit, and joined his father at the blacksmith and welding shop in Peoria. On December 16, 1966, Kenneth was united in marriage to Linda Brooks in Hillsboro. He was a member of College Hill Church of Christ. For 20 years, he served as Hill County Commissioner for Precinct 2.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Reid; daughters, Susan Davis and husband, Jeremy, and Robin Timmons and husband, Joe; and grandchildren, Aaron Lasly, Megan Timmons, Kaitlyn Timmons, and Kylie Davis.
