Kenneth Ray Townes (Froggy), beloved husband, father, grandfather, and best friend passed away on January 21, 2022, peacefully in his sleep with his loving wife of 24 years by his side. Kenneth was 76 Years of age.

Kenneth was born on July 18, 1945, in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas, to the late Raymond Luther Townes and Geneva Verne Mays. Kenneth met his future wife and soul mate Marva Lee in November 1997, and they were married on May 24, 1998. Kenneth loved fishing, and country style dancing. More than anything he loved the time he spent with his family & friends.

Kenneth will be forever remembered by his wife and loving children, Danny Ray, Katherine Verne, grandchildren, Ashley Crosby, Audie Greenwood, Hunter Townes, Addison Townes and great grandchildren.  He looked forward to traveling to new places with two annual vacations yearly. He enjoyed seeing new places and doing new things and all the fun he shared with his vacation buddy Ronnie Lee and wife Donna.

Kenneth was always the life of every setting, making even strangers laugh. Kenneth could find humor in any situation. His spirit and smile could light up the room and will be greatly missed by all.

Preceding him in death is his father, Raymond Luther Townes; mother, Geneva Verene Mays; older brother, Tommy L. Townes; wife, Donna Jean Townes.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marva Lee Townes; son, Danny Ray and wife Christy; daughter, Katherine Verne; two stepdaughters, Katrena Miears and Chrystal Reinhardt and spouse Nico; grandchildren, Ashley Crosby, Audie Greenwood, Hunter Townes, Addison Townes, Graham and Natalie Reynolds,  Kaitlyn Reinhardt, Caleb and Noah Reinhardt, Kenneth Holan and Christian Holan, and Daniel Puro.  Kenneth was blessed with 5.5 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Mr. Bruce Martin officiating.
