Kenny Janes

Kenny Janes, 17, of Whitney died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, near Aquilla. Kenny was born August 22, 1987 in Hillsboro the son of Kenneth Alan and Johnnie Grace Merritt Janes, Sr. He would have been a senior at Aquilla High School. He was a member of Vaughan Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Odell and Aleta McConathy from Whitney; Dewell Hester of Hillsboro; and Harvey and Bertha Jones of Hillsboro; and an uncle Robert Janes of Hillsboro. Survivors include his parents Kenneth Alan and Johnnie Janes of Whitney; grandparents, Kenneth and Sandra Janes of Hillsboro; great-grandmother, Dorothy Hester of Hillsboro; grandmother, Betty Merritt of Hillsboro; sister, Sandra Banik and husband, Rodney, of Hillsboro; aunts, Lisa Waits, Jill Tarrel, Kay Farquhar, Peggy Pribble, Brenda Stotts, Sally Widener; uncle: Sonny Merritt; and many cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kenny ?Bubba? Alan Janes, Jr. Memorial Fund c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 225 E. Elm St., Hillsboro, TX 76645. A lunching will be held at Vaughan Baptist Church after the graveside services.
