Kenny Schmailzl

Kenny was the son of Kenneth and Patricia MentgenSchmailzl. He received his BA degree from Fullerton College in Whittier, CA. During the Viet Nam War he served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as a Machinist Mate 1st Class and continued in the Naval Reserves for 16 years following completion of his active duty. He was a truck driver working with his father and brothers in the family trucking business, and also an insurance agent in California. Kenny had a big heart and loved all his nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in Lincoln, NE at a later date. He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Patricia Schmailzl of Whitney. Siblings: Patty Lang and husband, Jerry of Thousand Oaks, CA; William G. Schmailzl and wife, Linda of Lincoln, NE; Robert Schmailzl of Lincoln, NE; Beverly Wilson and husband Darrell of Lincoln, NE; Larry Schmailzl of Lincoln, NE; Ed Schmailzl and wife, Susan of Round Rock, Tx. Thirteen nieces and nephews and thirty one great nieces and nephews, a number of aunts, uncles and other friends. Memorial may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
