Kitten Hoyle, 93, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016, at Santa Fe Trails in Cleburne. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Dr. Mike Young officiating. Kitten was born April 17, 1923 in Paris, TX to Arthur Roy and Lou Helen (Brothers) Embree. After graduating from Sunset High School in Dallas, she attended North Texas Women’s University where she received a four year degree and a teaching certificate. For over 30 years, she taught fifth and sixth grade at Bynum ISD. On September 12, 1948, she and Paul Hoyle were united in marriage in San Antonio. Following their retirement, the couple loved to travel.

She dearly loved her Lord and her family. Having tea parties with her grandbabies would bring a smile to her face and put a twinkle in her eyes. She always made a roast on Sundays for anyone who could come over. An accomplished seamstress, Kitten never used a pattern to sew clothes. She was also a crafter, bonafide garage saler, and antique collector. She was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Paul on February 10, 2014; and a grandson, Seth Cunningham.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ann Cunningham and husband, Joe, of Hillsboro and Betty Waits and husband, Gary, of Cleburne; four grandchildren, Heather Landrum and husband, Bobby, of Grapevine, Caleb Cunningham and wife, Bindu, of Dallas, Josh Waits and wife, Jennifer, of Midlothian, and Erin Blackwell and husband, Cody, of Cleburne; and five great-grandchildren, Jacey Waits, Rylee Landrum, Blake Waits, Emilee Landrum, and Tyson Blackwell.

Memorials may be made to Eastern European Missions, P. O. Box 670928, Dallas, TX 75367 or Great Cities Missions, 3939 Beltline Rd. Suite #705, Addison, TX 75001.
