John Kylor Bowman, 45, of Hillsboro passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from injuries sustained in an accident at his home. His family will host a celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the Hillsboro Church of Christ, 109 Crest Ridge Drive, with Dr. Shelby Weatherford officiating. All are invited and welcome to attend. We would love to have you come and help in celebrating Kylor’s life.
Kylor would like to let you know his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he won’t be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus ~ a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Kylor’s new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, making everyone around him laugh at his jokes and stories, and singing and playing his guitar to his heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Kylor will be able to eat the most delicious chicken nuggets he has ever had and never feel too full or gain an ounce. He left detailed instructions for his best friend and love, his family and his children to celebrate his mission here, which is now completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.
John Kylor Bowman was born May 31, 1972 in Longview, Texas. Kylor was a long-time resident of Hillsboro and was well known for his quick wit, funny stories, telling jokes, his love of music, and playing his guitar. He loved flying his drones and showing them off, but most of all he loved his family and friends.
Kylor is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, MaLisa and Kevin Kniffin of Geneseo, Kansas; daughter, Brookelyn Newkirk of Hillsboro; son, Sean Bowman of Honey Grove; grandchildren, Kirah Kniffin and Maddison Kniffin of Geneseo, Kansas; father and mother, Johnny and Judi Bowman of Hillsboro; fiancé and soulmate, Stephanie Hubbard of Hillsboro; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Justin Hulce of Cloudcroft, New Mexico; nephews and nieces, Danny Slone, Hannah Henderson, Tia, Jehryn, and Jentry Hulce; bonus family, Scott, Cindy, Justin, Marshall and Shelbea Clem of Honey Grove; and countless friends.
