La Jean Overton

La Jean Overton, 78, of Burleson died Friday, January 14,2011 after a brief illness.

A graveside service will be held Monday on January 17, 2011, at 10:00 AM at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney, Texas.

Mrs. Overton was born in Whitney, Texas on November 5, 1932 to Mary Odom and Floyd L. Moore. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a degree in elementary education. She taught school in the Arlington ISD for 15 years where she and her husband residedfor 22 years and raised their children. The family has lived in Burleson for the last 34 years.

Mrs. Overton was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elinor Ann Miller.

Mrs. Overton is survived by her husband, Oliver Roy; her son, Larry and his wife, Kathi; her daughter, Tammy; grandsons, Brent and Blake; numerous other relatives and dear friends.
