Lana Gail Allison, 73, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Amy Anderson of Covington United Methodist Church in Covington officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Lana was born on June 27, 1943 in Waco to Clarence Welborn and Lola (Taylor) Brooks. She grew up in Hillsboro. On August 12, 1966, she was united in marriage to Gordon Allison. The couple moved to Euless where they raised their family. For over 30 years, Lana was employed by Texas Instruments. She love working there and was only 1 of 150 people to have clearance to work as a quality assurance electrical engineer. After retiring in 2000, she returned to Hillsboro and moved into her grandparent’s home place. Collecting antiques, gardening, and traveling, especially to New Orleans and the southern states, is what she enjoyed doing in her spare time. Family was everything to Lana and she loved them very much. She was of the Methodist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; loving husband, Gordon Allison, on June 19, 1999; and beloved son, Delton Wayne Allison.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Glover and husband, Daniel, of Hillsboro; four brothers, Welborn Brooks and wife, Mary Sue, of Whitney, Darnell Brooks and wife, Billy, of Hillsboro, Carlton Brooks and wife, Julie, of Robinson, and Dean Brooks and wife, Debbie, of Bynum; sister, Linda Patrizio and husband, Nick, of Allen; three grandchildren, Lyndel Berry, Jr., Thomas Lee Berry, and Nicky Bruner and husband, Brent; eight great-grandchildren, Emma Rose Berry, Sennitt James Berry, Teci Berry, Brice Camden Berry, Macie Rae Berry, Lexi Howard, Lani Howard, and Landri Howard; three nephews; seven nieces; five great-nieces; and two great- nephews.
