Larry Don Lambert, 60 of Hillsboro passed awawy on March 7, 2008 in Hillsboro. He was born on September 12, 1947 in Burnsville, Mississippi to Elmer Lee and Hazel Nina Whitaker Lambert. On November 27, 1969, he married Lorenda Ligon in Corinth, Mississippi. He lived in Burnsville until 1996 before moving to Bethel Springs, Tennessee. In 2002, he moved to Hillsboro. For 28 years until his retirement, he was a mechanical engineer for IT&T. He was a member of the American Tractor Assn. and enjoyed exhibiting his grandfather's 1953 Farmall tractor that he restored. Larry and his tractor won three trophies in antique tractor shows. He also enjoyed woodworking and built furniture for many in his family. Able to fix almost anything, Larry's family never saw a repairman. He was of the Baptist faith. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Lorenda of Hillsboro; children, Chris Lambert of Burnsville, MS., Magan Lambert of Hillsboro, Nicole Lambert of Florence, AL.; sister, Laweuna Medford of Cherokee, AL.; two grandchildren, Abby and Jacob Lambert of Burnsville, MS.; several nieces and nephews and his other child, Sadie, his beagle.
