Larry Sherrill

Larry Neil Sherrill, 77, of Aquilla, passed away on December 1, 2014, in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Whitney.

Larry was born on January 28, 1937, in Jefferson City, Missouri to Fred Wilson and Dorothy Marie (Alexander) Sherrill. He grew up in Missouri and joined the Air Force right out of high school and made it his career, retiring in 1976. On January 28, 1955, he married Jean O’Connor and she preceded him in death on May 3, 2006. He was an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Sherrill and a sister, Juanita Ombalski.

He is survived by his children, Debbie Rubis and husband, Mike of Burleson, Shari Moore and husband, Roger of Joshua, Bob Sherrill and wife, Rachel of Burleson, Chuck Sherrill and wife Christi of Fort Worth and Steve Sherrill and wife, Tana of White Settlement; grandchildren, Kathy, Stephanie, Cody, Trinity, Mary, Melissa, Michelle, Scott, Marcus, Michael, Rachel, Weston and Rowdy; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother David Sherrill and wife, Arlene of Missouri.
