Laura Smith

Laura F. Smith, 87 of Whitney passed away on August 14, 2009. Laura was born on February 22, 1922 in Gustine to the late Wordie H. and Lola Grace Graves McDonald. She married John Richard Smith and he preceded her in death. She loved to sew. Laura was a member of the Peoria Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Jean Hart, Brenda Smith; brother, Billy McDonald and sister, Pat Mahan. Survivors include her children, Carolyn Jones of Whitney, Sam Richard Smith of Whitney, ronald Wilhelm of Corsicana, Ray McDonald of Lewiston, WA, David Wilhelm of Bandera, Jerry Wilhelm of Peoria, Kenneth Wilhelm of Corsicana, Wanda Eavro of Pecos; numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
