Lavinia Tyra

Fay Tyra, 75, of Laguna Park, passed away on May 8, 2016, after a brief illness. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, May 10, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Fay was born on May 3, 1941, in Brownwood, to Tex and Velma (Upchurch) Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Vernon Tyra; her parents; and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Powers; children, Mike Tyra, Mitch Tyra and wife, Susan and Verna Dorman and husband, Jim; grandchildren, John and Edith Tyra, Chelsea and Russell Irby, Lacie Dorman and Sam Tyra; and two brothers, Tim Upchurch and wife, Angela and Cliff Upchurch and wife, Charlotte.
