Lavona Dobbs

Lavona Dobbs, 90, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Whitney. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March, 19, 2018, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Mr. Gene Edens officiating. Mrs. Dobbs will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. - Noon on Monday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born May 3, 1927 in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Ewell Campbell and Elizabeth Blanche (Falls) McMahan. On April 6, 1947, Lavona was united in marriage to Edwin V. Dobbs. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1985. She was a member of College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro and a homemaker.

Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her four sons, Richard V. “Dick” Dobbs and wife, Paulette, Barry Michael Dobbs and wife, Jean Ann, Gary Don Dobbs and wife, Sunny, and Robert Scott Dobbs and wife, Melanie; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
