Laynette Jean (Ellison) Cappers

Laynette Jean Cappers, age 80, of Burleson passed away on August 26, 2022. Funeral services for Laynette will be arranged by the family at a later date.

Laynette was born January 5, 1942, to her loving parents Velmor and Phyllis Dean (Newton) Ellison in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Trimble Tech High school and from there was a secretary for 25 years. On February 8, 1958, she married the love of her life Wendall Cappers, they were married for 35 years before he passed away in 1993. Laynette lived in Crowley for 40 years. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan and loved to ride motorcycles, fishing, hunting, and camping, but best of all she loved traveling. Laynette was loved very much and will be missed.

Proceeding her in death is her Husband, Wendall Cappers; and her parents, Velmor and Phyllis Dean (Newton) Ellison.

Laynette is survived by her brother, a sister, a cousin, 6 loving children, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren whom she cherished.
